E sharp Posted November 15, 2009 Posted November 15, 2009 (edited) Not sure if this has already been done . I'm after power amp suggestions . This weekend , my trusty Eden WT400 was struggling on a marquee gig volume wise . Both clips were on , too much for my liking . More headroom is what I think I need . As these gigs for me are more upcoming . I don't fancy another head if I can help it , so a power amp seems the likely route , as I like to Eden sound . Any ideas guys and galls on a stomping amp . I was thinking of Crown K2 bridged - that sort of thing . Anyone on here run a power amp aswell as an amp for the big gigs - and what do you use and why ? Edited November 17, 2009 by E sharp Quote

J[/quote] Didn't this weekend - vocals only . Not a problem with the pubs mind , and most rally do's are big PA - full support . It's just those noisy bastard guitarists and a drummer with a seriously loud kit . I'm just of the mind , of a 2U power amp as an extra , that can be hooked up on the couple occasions when it might be needed . I'm not a power freak - just trying to obtain a bit of headroom . Quote
Mr. Foxen Posted November 16, 2009 Posted November 16, 2009 What cabs are you tunning? Gotta have somewhere to send the extra power. Quote

The 1u size is perfect - and having so much head room available is a dream. You probably won't get near the 3KW - but it's nice to know the amp is designed to be able to handle more power than you need. How's the 610 getting on Paul? ;o) Quote
