They just want to know how much *ehem* 'power' is left in their battery. A meter showing them a percentage and time left will be more meaningful to them. Yep, I have a maplin one that I grabbed for a 5er that I chuck in my guitar box - and leave my expensive unit at home! I see the point over the 18v thing - I wonder if the unit can handle that?
