Just installed a new loaded control plate from John in my Jazz bass. The improvement in sound was immediately noticeable, as well the subtle changes in volume now possible. The quality of the materials is top notch and the workmanship is excellent. John's communication is also impressive, working with you to get what you really need. Highly recommended!

John kindly came to my rescue - ‘once again’ & built one of his superb Looms for my P Bass.

Top quality components, second to none workmanship, excellent packaging, prompt despatch, clear, detailed installation instructions so that even a ‘card carrying’ Technophobe numpty like me found it a breeze to fit literally in minutes & the improvement to the tone is incredible.

Thank you John👍👍

Bourns - really smooth and no noise - even with the treble maxed out! If you message John & tell him what you want - he’ll tell you what he can do for you. Can’t recommend him highly enough, his Loom has improved the sound of my P Bass a scrillion percent👍👍

Thanks, I've heard the Bourns pots are top quality, but what I was really asking was what spec pots did you get for both volume and tone..250K?...500K?

And what spec/type of capacitor?....0.050µF, .100µF?

Thanks in advance, Steve

Could not be less impressed with the comms and loom I received from John. The only negative feedback I've ever given on Basschat since 2009.

I have sent you a PM Tim, I don't know what the problem is, you haven't contacted me since your kit was delivered.

Been getting looms off John for a good few years now and never a problem, top drawer workmanship and never any faults to report because they are that good....

Just received another work of art loom from John. I have now lost count of how many of my basses have his workmanship inside. As always, great communication, superb loom, fair price and brilliant service.

Thanks again John 👍

John very kindly made me a passive Loom for my Jack Bass and after asking what type of sound I preferred, supplied a superb alternative to replace the original active circuitry.

It was so easy to fit, even for an old Duffer like me & sounds incredible - Outstanding!

Thanks again John, very much appreciated.

Just received another loom from John to replace the guts in my cheap and cheerful Harley Benton. Quick and easy to install even for a kack-handed idiot like me, and sounds great with a smooth even taper. Great price, great comms and a quick turn around too. Cheers John!

I have an old Hondo II guitar that needed revamping so as part of a few upgrades I asked John if he maybe made looms for Les Paul-type things. Luckily he did and he also tweaked the loom a bit to get the most out of the Iron Gear pups I'd added as part of the revamp. Once my my sausage fingers managed to install it, everything worked brilliantly!

Another day, another loom from John, Jazz bass this time.

Fits perfectly and is a work of art. Fast turnaround too.

Many thanks John, you and Kaz have a great Christmas and a happy New Year.

Yet another incredible solderless Loom from John for my Squier Mini P Bass this time with the usual second to none service & craftsmanship using quality components.

I was thinking of changing the pickups but the improvement in tone is so good there’s no need now, so it’s always worth fitting one of John’s Looms initially as even if you do replace the pickups later, you are safe in the knowledge that you already have a first class wiring harness.

The great feature of them being solderless is that even an old technical Duffer like me can fit them literally in minutes. Also not being very technically gifted, I tell John the type of sound I’m looking for and he recommends the correct value of capacitor to fit - Fab.

Thanks again John - outstanding👍👍

I've had a loom off John, his work is first class!

If l could ask out of interest, what sound was you looking for and what values did you opt for? TIA
