briansbrew Posted November 2, 2016 Posted November 2, 2016 Received another brilliant wiring kit for my Aria Elite, once again a top notch job and John is very helpful and gives sound advice. Best man out there for the Job and my Aria now sings as it should. Thanks John Quote
pxo Posted November 6, 2016 Posted November 6, 2016 Just had my JD short scale P set up & new loom fitted by John after seeing the feedback on here. It's now way better. Excellent, friendly & patient service & very reasonable price. Oh & a bag of homegrown chillies thrown in too!!! Top bloke to deal with. Quote
TPJ Posted November 19, 2016 Posted November 19, 2016 John built a custom loom for my 5 string jazz. He helped me every step of the way about options and how it would work up to instalation and help afterwards. His work is fantastic and he is very willing to help get you the right setup. Thanks again. My bass sounds great now Quote
gerryc Posted December 2, 2016 Posted December 2, 2016 Another of Johns superb P bass wiring kits to go into my bitsa that I am cobbling together. Quote
tom1946 Posted December 5, 2016 Posted December 5, 2016 Just got another P loom with a super quiet kill switch and as usual it works perfectly. John's wirework is expertly crafted and likely to last me out never mind the bass! Thanks very much John. Peace. Tom. Quote
danbowskill Posted December 17, 2016 Posted December 17, 2016 Another perfect loom from John (PJ this time) .....as always spot on in every way . All my basses have benefited from John looms and future ones always will :-) cheers Quote
Thor Posted December 24, 2016 Posted December 24, 2016 Another lightning fast turnaround by John - just fitted a P loom in readiness for tonight's gig - as many have said before top quality workmanship and friendly service. Many thanks John.😁 Quote
Bass Fumbler Posted January 3, 2017 Posted January 3, 2017 E Mailed John on the 20th December, ordered a loom for my Squier Jazz on the 22nd and received said loom on the 24th! Fantastic service. I'll be ordering another one fairly soon. Quote
Deedee Posted January 10, 2017 Posted January 10, 2017 (edited) Bought a wiring harness (complete with new chrome knobs) from John to upgrade my Squier VM Precision V after it became apparent that the jack was more than a little dodgy. Ordered Sunday evening, arrived Tuesday morning, fitted Tuesday evening. Came complete with instructions and even a tiny screwdriver. An absolute doddle to fit and the bass now sounds even better. Powerful tone with a far wider range of tones from full-off to full-on. Very highly recommended. Many thanks again John 😀 Edited January 11, 2017 by Deedee Quote
anzoid Posted January 14, 2017 Posted January 14, 2017 First of two - recently bought a P-bass and a J-bass loom from John. Both arrived super quick but the P-bass one is still in the box because it's going into a Westfield and a little woodwork is required to get these nice chunky, quality pots to fit in the where the old cheap, nasty ones were (well, still are...), so that'll be my second review at some point. Anyway... the J-bass loom - I bought the one with the series/parallel mod pull-pot on the tone switch. Wiring in was easy even for a complete electrical numpty like me - followed the instructions (now there's a thing...) and had everything nicely installed in about 10 minutes flat (even that's probably a bit slow...). Plugged in, turned up and - bloddy hell it sounds good in my Squier CV Jazz. All the normal Jazz sounds but clearer and deeper, then with the pot pulled (oe-er)... I guess all i can say is you have to try it, not like anything I've had before - bassier, still got good top end and so smooth. Next up is a passive loom for my newly acquired Sandberg TM4 - ideas being discussed but no hesitation at all about going to John for this - absolutely confident that what ever he comes up with is going to do the job. Dealing with John is a pleasure as he's willing to chat about ideas and, more importantly knows what he's talking about and what he's doing. Quote
Shambo Posted January 18, 2017 Posted January 18, 2017 Yet another satisfied customer. Thanks John. Quote
ead Posted January 27, 2017 Posted January 27, 2017 (edited) John has just made me an emergency jazz loom. It was in the post to me within 12 minutes, at least it seemed like that. What a top bloke. Edited January 27, 2017 by ead Quote
anzoid Posted January 28, 2017 Posted January 28, 2017 Finally got the P-bass loom fitted - superb quality and easy as anything to get installed. Thank you John Quote
briansbrew Posted February 5, 2017 Posted February 5, 2017 John done me up a new loom for my faker and a great job he did, the best man for the Job in my opinion and Ive seen plenty of soldering looms in my time. Thanks John Brian Quote
KK Jale Posted February 8, 2017 Posted February 8, 2017 (edited) Just bought a KiOgon loom and it couldn't have gone easier. The work is top-notch - every joint perfect, plus lovely touches like the siting of the cap, and soldering one of the grounds to the side of the volume pot. I could NEVER do it this neatly. Cheerz John! Edited February 13, 2017 by KK Jale Quote
Rothko Posted February 24, 2017 Posted February 24, 2017 A new loom for my Squier Modified Vintage Fretless - a lovely bit of kit sent in record time to Berlin from John. The series/parallel switch is fantastic. Quote
anzoid Posted February 24, 2017 Posted February 24, 2017 Just bought a Volume-Blend-Tone for my new Jazz bass (NBD to follow ). A bit of a change from a typical Jazz setup but exactly what I was looking for - the blend is 100% at both ends and 100%/100% in the centre position so no loss output. High speed delivery, quality components and clear instructions as usual from John. Can't recommend these looms highly enough - both my Fenders and the Squier have a KiOgon loom now and I'm definitely a happy customer Quote
jimbartlett Posted February 24, 2017 Posted February 24, 2017 John made me up a loom. Arrived amazingly fast and sounds superb! Top fella, deal without hesitation. He even answer all my stupid questions and didn't call me any names :-)! Quote
