Ian Savage
Thanks. I think I would probably go for a couple of wiring mods first to see what happens, but new pickups would definitely be an improvement.
If you're still looking at new Tele pups, I can't speak highly enough of the Iron Gear Steel Twin bridge pickup - humbucking, sounds like a Tele bridge on steroids, about £25 new (I got mine for a fiver, but hey ). And fitted into my 'bitsacaster': It's now got a cheeky Fender-esque decal as well, sounds really bloody good with a slide.
Simo
This is my '04 PRS Singlecut. She's a little road worn, it doesn't show up much in the pics but there's plenty of scratches, some dings around the edge and buckle rash... all done by the previous owner. It's fitted with a pair of Bare Knuckle 'Cold Sweat' pickups, sounds incredible. These 2 pics were taken after I sanded and buffed the lacquer, a lot of the finer scratches are now gone... Ian Savage
I'm fairly sure they're identical to the Epiphone Valve Juniors - let us know how you get on with it Wayne, I never got on with my Epi as it was TOO loud and clean for home use (and didn't take pedals all that well) but not loud enough for live...they mod up well apparently, but I couldn't be arsed

Still way too loud for home use and now distorts too easily (although very nicely) but a good 2nd recording amp to complement the Matamp. Not loud enough for live. GarethFlatlands
My landlady and her 4 kids live downstairs so any kind of noise past about 8pm is out. Shame, as I got a speaker cab with an 8" Jensen in years ago that has never been plugged in.
GarethFlatlands
Here's a couple of my guitars:- My Gibson Les Paul standard. Previously owned by no less than one of the guys from Mansun (no idea which) and bought for a bargainous £500 many years ago. Love this guitar to bits and would never sell it. Really comfortable to play, nice sound, the lot. 1976 Ibanez Les Paul. Falling apart slightly, needs a re-fret and a few minor jobs that may add up in cost and make it not worth restoring. Still in 2 minds about whether to bite the bullet and sell it or fix her up. Someone buying my Rockbass would assist this! I like Les Pauls clearly. I also own a suburst MIJ Jazzmaster which has many quirks, some good, some bad. Apart from some amazingly daft design faults, a unique looking and sounding guitar.
BigRedX
Just got around to taking some photos of this: Hallmark Wing Bat. Limited edition of 100. Endorsed by George Barris who amongst other things designed the 60s Batmobile... Comes in a rather splendid faux crocodile skin case. Best of all is the Turbo-boost switch... BigRedX
I've had this guitar for several years now and can't believe that until yesterday I didn't even have any photos of it. Hohner TE Custom XII 12-string. Can't find much info about these on the web. I've only seen one other with this shape and pickup configuration was owned by Captain Sensible. All the others I've seen have the same neck, but a Telecaster-style body and EMG pickups. They don't look half as appealing as this one, and the lipstick tube pickups are perfect for the 12-string sound.

My understanding is that the design is a development of the Hallmark Swept Wing Guitar which was one of the original 60s Hallmark designs. When the company was revived by Bob Shade he produced a "Batman" styled Swept Wing as a one-off.
