monkey_dancer
The bridge saddles on my MIM Jazz often get lower when I play hard. It's not gradual, they just jump downwards to a lower position. This must be due to either the screws or the saddles (or both) having a bad thread, but what should I do? Get new saddles and screws? And where would I get them? I've tried a little bit to search on the internet with no results. Just get a new bridge? If I did this I would definitely get a better bridge, like maybe a Badass? People seem to like those? Thanks! Edited November 16, 2009 by monkey_dancer
neepheid
Saddles: http://www.axesrus.com/axehardware.htm#Saddles (look for "£2.30 EACH CHROME BASS SADDLES A OR B") For a new bridge, a Gotoh 201 would be less hassle than a Badass, no need to cut saddles. If you play as hard as you suggest, saddle cutting would be an absolute necessity on a Badass
King Tut
Or try a tiny dab of loctite on the saddle screw threads.
monkey_dancer
I went on that same site and didn't find any. *facepalm* Since those saddles are so brilliantly cheap I'll order some right now! Thanks!
