Ou7shined
Something special has come up which has prompted me to finally pass this wonderful cab on. Here's the blurb from SHX. It is the 4ohm, carpeted version and unlike the one pictured on the SHX site this one has the Jorg signed drivers. Comes with a genuine padded Schroeder cover - 60x62x42cm with the cover on. In a nutshell, this cab is very loud with a very open dynamic range, the crisp sounding tweeter is highly tunable from extreme prominence down to nowt and as a whole this cab provides that all important punch that lets you slice through in the best and worst of conditions. It's in mint condish bar some holes underneath where casters were tried out. The cab is nearly 2 years old so rest assured she was built well in advance of Schroeder's recent QC issues. Here she is under Dave Perry's rig at the recent Moffat bass bash (pic courtesy of GreeneKing) £550 + delivery Edited December 28, 2009 by Ou7shined

krispn
Hey its a question bump.... How do you run this cab - seems like there are options for the 12' to be down facing, side facing or should you desire up facing? Have you tried it out in these different positions? Ou7shined
A fine question indeed. Yep you can configure it whatever way suits you best. I found the firing down and firing up positions behave much as you'd expect - more thump with the 12 facing down and more perceived volume (like you'd ever need that) when you have it pointed up at you head. However I think the the effect is pretty localised. The major strength of this cab apart form being so articulate is it's ability to slice through the mix and project your sound equally as well to the back of the room as it does near the front of the stage (I'm sure I've read somewhere that it's something to do with interference patterns and the twin 10's being stacked vertically ??? whatever, it works). So strange as it may seem (unless you are playing a tiny venue) what I found was that firing up or down only alters your onstage sound rather than what your audience gets out the front. Obviously it presents you far more options when micing up. Edited December 20, 2009 by Ou7shined
WonderHorse
Is this a heavy cab? I'm looking for a small lightweight cab and this looks like it could fit the bill.
Ou7shined
Nope it's not heavy. It's approx 36.3kg in it's stocking feet. Basically a one man lift middle weight cab.
