But, I still think it's kind of cool-looking... I totally get why you think it's terrible, and I guess it kind of is! But still it's got a sort of ghostly effect, and if you could convey that effect so it didn't look 'terrible' up-close, you'd have something. And I suppose you need to get another knob on that control plate.
It is quite "interesting" i suppose. I remember the general consensus from the build thread was that it looked quite good apart from the bit i hacked out of the top horn! If I were to get another knob it would be for another pickup, should i decide to install one. The other 2 are actually a volume and rather than a tone (don't like tone controls) a variable coil-tap control. Edited August 31, 2011 by EdwardHimself Quote

This was much of my gear through the 80's.
Nice Westone. Quote

Maybe that is a better use of your bass' guts... @ Warwickhunt: Right? Looks like cartoon chrome. Also I like the way it sort of 'floats' with all that blue nearby. Quote

gazhowe Posted August 31, 2011 Posted August 31, 2011 (edited) Here's my current set: (L-R) Spector Euro 4, Stingray, Status Series 2, Warwick Thumb (1990 NT), Overwater Aspiration 5 Deluxe. Currently using the Status (main bass) and Stingray for gigging although the Overwater may make an appearance soon (I've only recently picked up this one). Edited September 3, 2011 by gazhowe Quote

dave_bass5 Posted October 31, 2011 Posted October 31, 2011 (edited) Probably two of the cheapest basses in the thread but i love 'em. My two Squier's, now upgraded and im very pleased with how they turned out. The Jazz is pretty much stock other than Wizard 74's and a Gotoh 201 bridge, the P only has the body remaining from the original CV, it now has a Lakland JO neck, Fender 62 Original (RI) pup, Gotoh 201 bridge and new pots and wiring. Not on the couch but leaning against it, i hope that counts. Jack Posted November 14, 2011 Posted November 14, 2011 (edited) We did a family shot between me (Stingray, Fender P, Squier P, Uke, and the classical acoustic and half of the Tanglewood Curbow), my brother (the other half of the Tanglewood and the Steinberger) and my dad (the rest of the guitars). EmmettC Posted December 18, 2011 Posted December 18, 2011 My Ibanez, Chris Larkin Fretless acoustic, '72 precision, G&l L5500 and Tribute G&L L2500. The 3 hanging on the wall are the one's my girlfriend thinks are pretty enough to be in the living room. She gets annoyed when I take any of them to a gig because the wall doesn't look balanced, I assume she wants me to get more basses to fill the space????? Quote
