Please ignore the slightly questionable playing (7/8 confuses me!) Update: Have a listen to these too: http://dl.dropbox.com/u/867382/Dunnjazz.mp3 http://dl.dropbox.com/u/867382/Dunntbird.mp3 Edited November 21, 2009 by thedonutman
Musky Posted November 20, 2009 Posted November 20, 2009 Tricky question really, as it's all a matter of taste. It's quite middley and reminds me a bit of tone some of the more funky players in the 80s got, only with a touch of fuzz. If it were me I'd want a bit more grind in the bottom end, but like I said - it's just a matter of taste. One thing's for sure though - it'll cut through.
TDM Posted November 20, 2009 Author Posted November 20, 2009 Yeah, I've been thinking that too. I had the same DI track sent high/low passed and sent through three signal chains. No matter how much I crank up the one with the lows I'm still not entirely satisfied with it.
supabock Posted November 20, 2009 Posted November 20, 2009 A little more bottom end and you've got a little Geddy Lee there
AdamWoodBass Posted November 22, 2009 Posted November 22, 2009 More guts mate, try an eq and crank the bass. You're defo onto a winner there but it just needs that little extra rumble.
