Before watching the clip I was going to say something stupid like "stop getting worked up about stupid youtube videos" - but that clip really is stupid.

I can't identify what the guy is pretending to teach us about hip hop bass playing.

Well, what would you expect from an "Expert Village" video?

Famous for their ultimate "String Stretching" exercise:

I'm......just..........well............speechless.

I sat in front of my laptop, mouth agape, thinking "is this guy serious"?

To boot, isn't that exactly what the likes of DR say exactly what NOT to do with their strings?

I wonder if Expert Village get slated a lot online.

I think the guy might be getting his jollies from jigglying the bass up and down on his lap.

I sincerely hope not!

....but, to be fair guys and girls, I think we've all learnt something valuable about the intricacies of advanced EQing techniques, have we not?

i can't believe anyone would be stupid enough to do that! I've only been playing bass for 4 years now, but I know that you NEVER stress a string like that. I'm not letting that guy anywhere near my Squier, let alone my Fender.
