I'd ask lots of questions - date, serial number - is it CIJ or MIJ etc. I'm sure there's usually more on the headstock than the Fender logo but I'm sure there are others out there with better knowledge than me. Might be 'cos it's a lefty, but over and above the logo, it still doesn't seem right. If he doesn't know whether it's a J or P how does he know its a Fender? maxrossell Posted November 21, 2009 Posted November 21, 2009 As others have said, get a picture of the back of the neck near the body. It'll say Crafted in Japan or Made in Japan. And ask him why the tone knob doesn't match the volume knobs. Quote
