Lew-Bass
http://cgi.ebay.co.uk/Left-Handed-Fender-P...=item1c0dfb03a3 The decal looks abit iffy to me (but what do I know), and seeming though he couldn't discern between a Jazz and a P I thought it'd be best to check before I bid Thanks
Mykesbass
Notice that none of his feedback is as a seller. I'd ask lots of questions - date, serial number - is it CIJ or MIJ etc. I'm sure there's usually more on the headstock than the Fender logo but I'm sure there are others out there with better knowledge than me. neilb
Ask for a picture of the rear of the neck adjacent to the neckplate. i agree, the decal looks iffy, but I do know some genuine Jap Fenders did have just FENDER on the stock. Delberthot
all left handed Fenders I've seen only have Fender on the headstock - must be too much money to design a left handed decal One on this website http://www.guitaremporium.co.uk/index.php?...guitars&a=
Beedster
I can't tell you why, but it looks wrong to me. Might be 'cos it's a lefty, but over and above the logo, it still doesn't seem right. If he doesn't know whether it's a J or P how does he know its a Fender? EssentialTension
I'd want to see a lot more pics before I bid on that - the logo looks like an addition even though it's correct for a lefty; he couldn't be bothered to clean it; no sign of a serial; etc. Edited November 21, 2009 by EssentialTension
skankdelvar
Maybe it's just the camera or something, but the headstock face kinda looks a bit lighter in the decal zone. Just my 2p.

maxrossell
As others have said, get a picture of the back of the neck near the body. It'll say Crafted in Japan or Made in Japan. And ask him why the tone knob doesn't match the volume knobs.
OldGit
Most of the copies I've seen have those chrome knobs rather than the black ones. +1 on the heel shot. That will reveal all.
Leftbass
s/n A001247 I asked him the serial no. its a Jap but not sure exactly which one
neilb
If its a MIJ, thats 85-86 If its a CIJ, thats a 97-98. Edited November 22, 2009 by neilb
