Adee
Hi Anyone know the Saddle Grub Screw size for a Fender Bridge? Bass is a 1986 MIJ Fender Reissue Jazz, saddle grubs are a bit too long and bloody hurt if you catch you hand on them ! Looking to replace with shorter ones, until I can track down a Badass II replacement for it. Cheers Ade
The Burpster
US ones are a 4-40 thread IIRC..... An MIJ may be metric tho' I had a Jap fender some time ago but I cant recall now.......
The Bass Doc
My records suggest USA are 6/32 UNC - same as the length adjustment bolt. Made in Japan used 3.5 metric on JV series and the like but another thread has also been used in the past. Best advice on the ones now in question would be to have them ground down so they don't protrude (ooh missus) too much.
Adee
Cheers Fellas for your help I was thinking of getting me Dremmel out or visiting the local guitar tech to see if he had anything shorter in his box (Ooooh Missus !)
