Aria ProII Laser Classic (Active)

Hey up,
Could anyone help with choice of suitable pups to replace the original ones, or is it possible to have these repaired. The D string response has definatly faded on the neck one and the chrome is all chipped on the poles of both. The configuration is like a P/J but the neck one is a la SB1000 and the bridge one like a Jazz but with screw holes at each end instead of the sides. I'm not sure who made them for Aria, possibly K/A?
I am satisfied with the onboard Actives so any average humbucker(s) would be ok. If I am persuaded to gig again, I would want to use this bass again.
Thanks, Lazers

The MB-1E pickup that features in the SB 1000 is a completely different design from the pickups that featured on the RSB series, from which the Laser series developed (the Laser inheriting a redesigned SB series neck - featuring a slightly wider and flatter profile). The MB-1E used ceramics, while the MB-III and MB-J1 in the Laser series used alnico magnets.

As for repairs, I think that Wizard Pickups offer a repair service, and have recondition and built pickups for Aria Pro II bases in the past.

Thanks for the info Noel. There is so much choice of pups off the shelf I reckon going to Wizard will be the best bet. Cheers, Lazers
