wombatboter
Recently I bought another fretless so I have around four fretless basses which is just a bit too much.. After thinking this through I decided that one of two of my Lefay basses can be sold.. Lefay basses are just too good to live without so luckily I still have the five string left. This one is a dream to play, has an amazing sustain and a powerful output although it is passive. The neck feels slim and is very fast and of all the fretless basses I have owned this one generates the most compliments whenever played by fellow bass-players. The action is very low without buzz and this makes playing and sliding effortless. The stainless steel-neck sounds really warm in contrast with its looks.. These basses cost around 4000 euros new and this one is for sale for 2500 euros (with a gigbag). Price is firm and luckily I don't really need the money but I'm trying to cut down on basses and I have enough options. Can be picked up or can be shipped. Feel free to contact me for any questions. No trades please, I have more than enough basses for the moment. Thanks Geert There is a youtube thing which Reiner was so kind to put on this own Lefay-site which features me playing the Remington steele 5-string (sound is similar to the 4-string) for a sound impression. wombatboter
Thanks, Oliver (have a great Xmas too). I think this one will be hard to sell since it's only a small (and expensive) niche. Luckily there's no hurry and perhaps it means that it's bound to stay where it is :-)
