Lew-Bass
Two very similar basses, same electronics; what are everyone's opinions? Any good, which one is better etc. Comments appreciated, thanks
JayC
I love my SR520, but it all depends on what suits you better. Try them both out
Tait
tbh you'll do well to get any better than the ibanez for its price. its an absolutely beautiful bass, very light, very slim neck, exceptionally versatile, IMO looks 100 times better than the cort. although like Jay said, give them both a try, see which feels right for you. in fact, set yourself a price limit and try everything in the shop within that price limit, you might find that although the ibanez and cort sound like your sort of thing, something completely different might suprise you and be much more what you're looking for. theres no harm in trying something different, anyway, and i cant imagine shop keepers will mind if you make it clear that you're actually looking to buy. flatwound
I would go with the Cort, but I am biased toward Cort, as the ones I have are brilliant. I cant fault them,... and I "try to". ! and besides,....the Ibanez is possibly made by Cort.
Thump Boy
I like the neck on the Ibanez. Thin and fast. Just my preference.
maxrossell
I played an SR500 the other day and it was really good. I can't comment on the Cort though.
Marvin
Ibby without doubt for me. Just don't like the Cort. No particular reason.
Lew-Bass
Yeah, between the Ibby and pimping out an SX PJ-bass with Jazz neck etc etc.. tough one
markdavid
Which B4 is it your looking at , there is a light coloured one (which I assume is maple) and a really nice looking mahogany/swamp ash one. Would probably still go for the Ibanez though as ive owned a few and theyve all been really good Edited November 26, 2009 by markdavid

KevG
Can't comment on the Ibanez but have the Cort which I ended up with in a deal, I wasn't really keen till I'd tried it (it's a long story) but been really happy with it over the past 2 months, good range of tones, nice and light and plays superbly - what more could I want!
