gillento
Selling my Mesa Engineering Fathom / Carbine M6 as I found my dream amp: the Sadowsky SA200 At its introduction it was called Fathom. But soon, Mesa changed the name to M6 Carbine due to some legal difficulties with the original name. Anyway, here are the specs: 600 Watts @ 4 or 2 Ohms (320 @ 8), Trans-Class Power with 8/4 or 2 Ohm Impedance - Switch for optimum Power-to-Load Performance / 8 Power MOSFETs, 1x12AX7 - Active/Passive Input Switch - Vacuum Tube Preamplifier featuring: Gain, Active Bass w/ Pull Deep, Passive Mids, - 5-Position Active Mid-Voicing Switch, Active Treble and Master Volume w/Pull Mute - Tuner Output - FX Loop w/True Hard Bypass Switch - Balanced XLR Line Out w. Ground Lift & Front Panel Level Control & Pre/Post Pull Switch - External Switch Jacks for Tuner Mute and Mid-Voices 1, 2, 3, 4 & 5 - 2 combined Speakon / 1/4 inch Speaker Output Jacks - Fan Cooled The output section relies on the same custom designed mosfets used in the M-Pulse, Big Block and Titan models, but the preamp and driver section are creating a very different feel. Up front the tube preamp utilizes a standard tone control string of Bass, Mid and Treble to shape the basic sound. There is a PULL DEEP feature found on the Bass control that keeps the low end tight and articulate when pushed in or, enhances the sub-lows and adds super-top air when pulled out. It also features VOICE control for instant access to global character changes and a bypass on a 5 position rotary pot that graphically shows the EQ curve for each. Positions 1 and 2 dip the midrange in two different places, positions 4 & 5 boost adjacent mid regions to create mid focused sounds that push articulate fingerstyle playing to the forefront of any mix. Here’s the rundown from the Mesa website. Technical condition is 100%. On the optical side, there some discoloration on the top or bottom (unvisible in rack). It comes with all the paperwork and the original packing. I got the amp about a month ago. I am the second owner and I paid 950 Euro for the amp. I'd prefer not to lose money on this. So I'd sell it for 950 Euro shipped anywhere in Europe. As confidence check, I can offer my ebay profile "gillento" (more than 200 auctions/100% positive) Have a look at more pics on my website: http://www.loes.lu/loes.lu/for_sale.html Edited December 12, 2009 by gillento
