Amp repairs / servicing in Hertfordshire?

Hi all,

I have just bought an amp which I am yet to hear, but fingers crossed it still works! However, regardless, i'd like to get it a service.

Can anyone suggest anyone in Herts, North London or Bedfordshire? Close to Stevenage/Hertford would be great.

Hi James.

I think Gig Gear in Harlow and Hertford do amp servicing.

Machinehead in Hitchin as well, I think.


Not had to use either of them yet though so can't make any recomendations.

Not sure they do servicing, but I can recommend Servtronics in Enfield (www.servtronics.co.uk) for repairs. They recently fixed a Crate amp for me and I was very happy with their service.

I've used this guy who is near Royston for repairs to both a Trace Super Tramp guitar amp and my Trace bass head. Seems to know his stuff and very reasonable costs. Oh yes, and he also repaired my UniBass pedal.

I know its a little old but worth it for people searching the search engines as it is a good resource to see recommendations.

 

We're sickamps in Harlow and used to be the outsource repair for Giggear and many of the other local music shops in Hertford, Harlow and Bishop's Stortford as well as provide many studios in the same area with repairs of mixing desks, speakers, guitar and bass amps and electric pianos and synths.
