After a rummage about I've found an adjustable digital camera adaptor which states:

PRI :100v-240~50/60Hz 20W
SEC :3, 3.3, 5, 6, 6.5, 7V;;;;;; (top line solid, bottom broken) 2100mA 14.7VA(max)

Can I use this to power the xciter, and if so, what setting should I use ?
The downloaded manual states that external power should be : 5-12VAC 7-17VDC

I don't want to blow the xciter up, so I thought I'd ask.

TIA

7V DC is the absolute minimum. The Xciter should work but you may have clipping problems with a strong input signal.

I may as well get a "proper" psu then.

It says it can also be powered via phantom power too. Handy for recording

Thanks
