Stingray5 Posted November 29, 2009 Posted November 29, 2009 Enjoy your bass, Clarky and thank you - I'm now on GAS mark 8!! Quote
thebuckets Posted November 29, 2009 Posted November 29, 2009 looks great makes me wonder if i am doing the right thing thinking of getting rid of my 2008 sunburst /tortie/rw p to buy your 2009 jazz! Quote

It also means I am likely to reduce down my bass collection as I think its going tyo be 'the one'. Quote
lozbass Posted December 1, 2009 Posted December 1, 2009 Oh yes!!! Very lovely indeed - is the board as dark as it looks (I'm a massive fan of that really dard chocolatey look)? Some of these early '70s Ps really are massively resonant. I'm on the look out for an early '70s P in oly white with a tort plate. That should see my GAS satisfied (for five minutes) Quote
tredders Posted December 5, 2009 Posted December 5, 2009 That is just beautiful, Clarky.... Really glad you got sorted in the end Quote
Clarky Posted December 5, 2009 Author Posted December 5, 2009 (edited) Thanks all for kind comments. I have swapped for TI flats (which are lighter gauge than the LaBella ones originally on the bass) and tweaked the truss rod and bridge so that it plays exactly how I want it to. Nice, low and fast. The board is, as one poster above enquired, a lovely matured rich rosewood colour. Here's another couple of pics (one with my Nash '63 Jazz bass relic): [attachment=37888:Summer_2...tuff_230.JPG][attachment=37889:Summer_2...tuff_229.JPG] Edited December 8, 2009 by Clarky Quote
Simon. Posted February 8, 2010 Posted February 8, 2010 That is a sick pair of basses! Excuse the smut, but really - what a lovely pair! The 72 P is really something special. Well done on getting that. Quote
