AndyTravis
http://cgi.ebay.co.uk/VINTAGE-FENDER-PRECI...=item4a9c7ecc99 Seems to have the wrong headstock. Wrong logo for it's apparent 'vintage'. Arm Contour seems wrong. Pickguard looks Wrong. 'Minor makes here and there'. This is rum... bethnalgreen
This is a corker ..... spelling mistakes abound and have a look at the replies to the questions that have been asked. " I think it about a 92-93 with an American serial number although it starts mn which I think inicates its Mexican" and "Q: Hi, what serial numbers can you give me of the bass, thanks. A: Hi there, Why, may I ask do you want them? Kind regards" Having said that, he gives his full business name / address phone number .... but he's some sort of recycler! Maybe that's the clue! thebeat
Hi there, I think it about a 92-93 with an American serial number although it starts mn which I think inicates its Mexican.....unless you know diferent? Kind regards
The above answer to a question leads me to believe the seller may partake in crack cocaine?
Cat Burrito
I switch off the moment the feedack falls below 99%. Aside 92-93 doesn't make it a vintage. I do like his questions and answers "Q: Hi, what serial numbers can you give me of the bass, thanks. A: Hi there, Why, may I ask do you want them? Kind regards"
Cat Burrito
Looks like you are all a bit quicker than me when I use cut and paste! Nobody had commented when I started typing. I'd be rubbish in a gun fight!
Bassassin
Retarded seller alert. Don't think it's a premeditated scam, the seller plainly knows nothing about basses, Fenders or "Precissions" and their research has not extended beyond "it says "Fender" on the end, Fenders are expensive and it's not new so it's vintage". No way they noticed the plywood oversprays. Jon.
The Bass Doc
Apart from the tag, it's not Fender - simple as that.
bethnalgreen
I posted another question to the seller asking again for the serial number. His response: "As already stated, it has a Mexican prefix but these are usually followed by 5 digits. This however has 6 digits as would an American instrument. So on this particular guitar its not clear cut. The year of manufacture is 93" He's very secretive isn't he.

Jean-Luc Pickguard
It looks remarkably like this correctly attributed & priced columbus: http://cgi.ebay.co.uk/Bass-Guitar-Columbus...=item4cec640c44
waynepunkdude
"Business Seller Information Greenlane Recycling & Reuse unit 1 bridge farm yard pe12 0ss spalding, Lincolnshire United Kingdom" What are the chances he found this on his rounds saw Fender on it then looked on ebay at vintage Fenders and decided he was on to a winner?
