That is confusing - especially as the combo version is supposed to put out the full 450w into one of these cabs! Are there two versions?
£370 is about right for an RS210....they might be the older finish cabinets...but you can request the new finish.

Im pretty sure the latest ones, and the older ones, are all 400W capability for the cabinet.

If thats what you meant lol.
cheers mate thnx i didnt know the finish thing. Just tell me something what you think of getting a markbass 12 inches ny121 on the bottom it will work out? on top rs210 and on the bottom my markbass ny121?

Hmm....might be ok...probbaly better with a matching RS112 which are quite good prices also. Its neo and ceramic mixed....not sure what results this would yield.

If you did try it and pref the TC cab the NY121 is a great cabinet anyway so would sell well if you felt the need to.

Tried out a TC Rebelhead 450 at the Bass Merchant in Colchester this afternoon and was blown away. Got so many sounds out of it with the Tube Tone and the EQ is massive without being too fiddley. Now I'm currently trying to work out how I can live on rice and beans for however long it takes to save up for one of these! :)
the RH450 is only 450W right? How comes people are saying its louder than a Shuttle 6.0, which is 600W?

Is it just a super-loud 450W?
Speaking generally, the rating of an amp doesn't mean much.. it's how the amp uses it, innit.

The RH450 has a proprietary power amp errmm 'box of magicals' errrmmmm there be pixies in there! Oooh arhhhhhhh!

ok, I think TC explain it better how they get the amp to peak at 800W:-
Have the prices of these gone up recently?

There doesnt seem to be anyone doing the whole package for £799 anymore, and the amp is generally going for £899 on its own.
:)

Oooh-kay?

The Bonners website still has the amp listed as "in stock" for £745 (who knows how long for mind).

That's a pretty hefty hike though.

Glad I got my bundle last week. The cabs suddenly look a lot less tempting though.

It's the way it delivers the power - the Shuttle 6 I had had a very weak fundamental and when I boosted the bass end it used up a lot of the stated wattage. Guitar players would often point out that a a good 30 watt valve amp (Badcat/Matchless) sounds louder than most 50 to 100 watt transister amps.

My replacement new RH450 arrived today. Going to fire it up later. The old one had a few issues and TC suggested swapping for a new one. The power cable insert on the old one was a bit worrying....it would hardly stay in!

I used my RS210 + LM3 in a rehearsal today. Sounded MASSIVE for a 2x10. Very impressed, a lovely tight punchy low end, and sweet highs, (eg not harsh and too trebly). Despite the fact its cheaper, I prefer the high end on this cab vs the HS410 so far.

It handled a drummer and one guitarist with EASE. Im going to gig one on its own in June when the gigs start and see how it holds up. The LM3 was only on just under 1/3 master at 8ohms.

Remind me again why you own THREE TC cabs? :)

Haha, well I sold the HS410, and the TC cabs were such a good deal despite the fact I got the new smoother finish (and recently risen a lot) that I just thought sod it. I have downsized the Aguilar rig though to one cabs instead of two. I could never get two of them at gigs etc due to transport, and it was a damn waste having such great cabs being unused.

Now Ive still got too many, but after today I think Ive realised im finally very happy with all the options.

Great 'soundclips' on this German review.

I have no idea what the review says but the clips are some of the best examples out there.
