King Tut Posted November 30, 2009 Posted November 30, 2009 (edited) You all know what these do! This one is sound but has seen a bit of action. It's an early one, consequently the strap button on the top horn has been moved to below the horn (since the pics were taken) to balance it better. Also the two switches have been replaced with similar (but not original) items. Now £140 collected. Edited December 27, 2009 by King Tut
simon1964 Posted December 2, 2009 Posted December 2, 2009 That looks in great condition, and a very tempting price. Sadly I can't justify another 4 string at the moment, but have a bump on me!
ogri Posted December 27, 2009 Posted December 27, 2009 that was my first decent bass! actually bought it out of a Kays catalogue back in the day...truly awesome sound(18volt active circuit i believe), and if i had any work and it was a bit less wouldnt hesitate...
NickSpector Posted December 27, 2009 Posted December 27, 2009 They are awesome basses! I played one years ago, and it was then I discovered active electronics (i was about ten at the time, and didn't really understand my dad's explanation of soundwaves lol).
King Tut Posted December 27, 2009 Author Posted December 27, 2009 Need to mention that since I posted - I've moved the top strap button to underneath the horn ala the later ones to make it balance better - consequently I'll knock a tenner off - £140 collected!
Pete Academy Posted December 27, 2009 Posted December 27, 2009 I sold a million Westones in the 80s. They were amazingly put together. IMO the price you're asking is mighty cheap considering their heritage and build quality. Good luck with the sale.
King Tut Posted December 28, 2009 Author Posted December 28, 2009 What a nice way to end a 'for sale' thread - the bass was tomboys first baby - glad to see her going home - sold pending the usual!
