song suggestions please!

Hey up guys.

Me and the band have just got back together after quite a while apart, and are looking to get back to playing gigs ASAP. Would really appreciate some song suggestion, ie, what you play in your bands that always go down well, or jus really fun to play live. we seem to be playing chili peppers a lot, and without becoming a tribute band to them, were jus gunna look daft playing all their songs! any suggestions appreciated!!

Try Only Want To Be With You,the old Dusty Springfield number.My lot have been playing this at function gigs for a couple of years now.We play it very fast,with the bass playing the vocal melody at the end of the verses.
If you want to keep things funky,have a go at Superstition by Stevie Wonder.
