Written in the late 70's that would be fair enough, but active basses have now been widely-used for over 30 years and those "[i]classic passive instruments[/i]" are just as modern as their active contemporaries.

I had to look it up in the first place to make sure. Mesa certainly didn't help by calling the new cab range after an old model :)

I stand corrected - grille & logo are just the same as on my Diesels.

Whatever it is - you can bet it's heavy! :)
