'Gibson bass' has to be one of my most used searches on ebay and most of the time I get the same old results. But not today...

The EBO, EB3. the Victory, Thunderbird. EB-2, SB series, the RD Artist. one mans meat of course. and one they made in the dark.

There was a chap from Guildford selling one of those 20/20 basses a year or so ago.

Of all the links I posted; the Victory does it for me the most. I'd like a Gibson Ripper over all of those though.

The G3 is the only one that is more my tastes, the first two are a bit too 80s for me. I perodically do EBay searches for Rippers and Grabers but I'm just window shopping really

there is also ONE super 400 bass fretless, custom shop piece, think someone on talkbass owns it, among his huge gibson bass collection.

Gibson have made plenty of nice basses provided that you don't want a fender clone with Gibson on the headstock (which seems to be what people who don't "get" Gibsons want).

personally I'm glad that they have the courage to do something different when so many bass manufacturers don't.
