not necessarily, a set of 45-105s tuned std. is (according to D'Addario's tension guide) comes to a grand total of 212.1 whereas 65-135 tuned BEAD comes to 176.1 so the tension is actually less in their case, though that might not be true if you use a different set of strings

The nut will probably need filing to accept bigger strings. I didn't have an issue with the truss rod, only needed to adjust intonation and saddle height at the bridge.
I'm using 70-85-105-125 gauge strings on a 33½" scale if that's relevant in any way :)

BEAD tension is likely to be lower than EADG so you may need to adjust the truss rod.

The nut may need filing but probably not by much.

You'll need to set up the neck relief, the action and the intonation.

Then, if you are like me, you'll change it all back to EADG. :)

you may have to drill out the bridge holes for the strings..some bridges have tight fit holes...
especially those double wound strings with big bulgy ends and all the wrappings making life impossible
