Jambo Posted December 3, 2009 Posted December 3, 2009 Haven't seen anyone else talking about these yet on here- but it appears that a new line of 'rays is set to be unleashed, based on the originals (2 band eq's, string thru bodies, bridge mutes etc etc) have a look here MM Site & here whats everyone think? Will be interesting to see how much these are going to cost..... theres some lovely colours there.... Quote
Rowbee Posted December 3, 2009 Posted December 3, 2009 They look very pretty to me. The jack socket location seems so much more sensible too. Quote

Duarte Posted December 3, 2009 Posted December 3, 2009 (edited) Those are just prototypes too - the real ones come with a chrome battery cover and figured birdseye necks (at extra cost I believe) Edit, Ah yes, those are shown in the 2nd link. Beautiful basses. Edited December 3, 2009 by Duarte Quote
Killstarz Posted December 3, 2009 Posted December 3, 2009 Loving the tranparent white/cream one!! Quote

NancyJohnson Posted December 3, 2009 Posted December 3, 2009 (edited) They do look nice. I like the pinky one the best...it would arguably look better still with a black pickup in it. P Edited December 3, 2009 by NancyJohnson Quote
bigthumb Posted December 3, 2009 Posted December 3, 2009 Lovely! But could do with some relic'in!! Quote
OutToPlayJazz Posted December 3, 2009 Posted December 3, 2009
Lovely! But could do with some relic'in!!
No problem - If you buy one, I'll happily kick it around a gravel carpark for you! Quote
budget bassist Posted December 3, 2009 Posted December 3, 2009 i'd never buy one, but they do look really pretty, especially the seafoam green, sonic blue and shell pink. I think they would look better with the bullet style truss rod nut though, even if it hinders practicality. Quote
MB1 Posted December 3, 2009 Posted December 3, 2009 MB1. ...I See theyve not Reintroduced that Lovely shade of Gordon Brown!...they used to do the Pre Ernies in! Quote
karlthebassist Posted December 3, 2009 Posted December 3, 2009 Oh lordy! I love the pale pink one soooooo much! Only just got my 'ray. '95 model so has the chrome battery cover and bridge that can take mutes and love it to bits. Favorite bass ever. Quote

Jambo Posted December 3, 2009 Author Posted December 3, 2009 glad too see we're all feeling the love for them...there are some truly beautiful finishes......but i wonder how much? must be a few hundred more than a regular ray..... Quote
Rayman Posted December 3, 2009 Posted December 3, 2009 You can't beat a nice 'ray, and they look nice. Quote

Not my taste unfortunately. Quote
Linus27 Posted December 4, 2009 Posted December 4, 2009 They said on the forum that they are going to rotate the colours every few months or so. So expect different ones popping up. That is unless they have changed their mind. Quote

An so did a Dean I had a few years ago... Quote
Sibob Posted December 4, 2009 Posted December 4, 2009 The Sea Foam/Birdseye & Sonic Blue/Rosewood FIT! Never really looked twice at Stringrays et al, but if I was after an active bass....these would be high on the list! Si Quote
Shockwave Posted December 4, 2009 Posted December 4, 2009 I would totally be after the Seafoam green/maple combo, Or possibly a shell pink/maple combo. Quote
