New "Classic" Stingrays!

Haven't seen anyone else talking about these yet on here- but it appears that a new line of 'rays is set to be unleashed, based on the originals (2 band eq's, string thru bodies, bridge mutes etc etc)

whats everyone think? Will be interesting to see how much these are going to cost..... theres some lovely colours there....

They look very pretty to me.

The jack socket location seems so much more sensible too.

Those are just prototypes too - the real ones come with a chrome battery cover and figured birdseye necks (at extra cost I believe)

They do look nice. I like the pinky one the best...it would arguably look better still with a black pickup in it.

i'd never buy one, but they do look really pretty, especially the seafoam green, sonic blue and shell pink. I think they would look better with the bullet style truss rod nut though, even if it hinders practicality.

Oh lordy! I love the pale pink one soooooo much! Only just got my 'ray. '95 model so has the chrome battery cover and bridge that can take mutes and love it to bits. Favorite bass ever.

I'd be right there with you but for the matching headstock. Not my taste unfortunately.

They said on the forum that they are going to rotate the colours every few months or so. So expect different ones popping up. That is unless they have changed their mind.

yeah, i'm not really feeling that either, they seem to have stolen that from fender, and most of the colours too....

I don't think matching headstocks are an idea that only fender have used in the past 50 years...

for example, my Bongo has a matching headstock...

An so did a Dean I had a few years ago...
