yorick Posted December 3, 2009 Posted December 3, 2009 Has anyone got a studio version of this, preferably by Albert Lee? I've got to learn it and don't want to buy an album. If you could e-mail it to me, i'll PM my e-mail addy.. Cheers Quote
Shaggy Posted December 3, 2009 Posted December 3, 2009 I've got it on a CD, but I'll have to get my kids to show me how to email sound files! Cracking track - I hope your guitarist is hotter than a hot thing though! Quote
teej Posted December 3, 2009 Posted December 3, 2009 Is that the Dave Bartholomew song? 'I'm a little Country Boy, running wild in this big old town (x2) Yes, all the girls love me, 'cause they know what I'm putting down.' I want to slip this one into our set sometime next year... Quote

Cat Burrito Posted December 3, 2009 Posted December 3, 2009 If you are still struggling at a later date I'm sure I can get you a copy. Quote
Paul S Posted December 3, 2009 Posted December 3, 2009 Slightly OT but I saw Albert Lee last night with Bill Wyman's Rhythm Kings at a local gig (I try to see them every year they come down). He is a star of the highest order - superlative guitar player and excellent (if somewhat unique) singer. Quote
OldGit Posted December 3, 2009 Posted December 3, 2009 MP3 of it covered by Luca Oliveri (from Amazon here ) Worth 69p to find out if it gives you what you want ? 7string Posted December 3, 2009 Posted December 3, 2009 Useless "Country Boy" fact: the original bassist was Chas Hodges who went on to be the Chas of Chas & Dave. Quote

(Albert wrote Country boy with HH&F singer Tony Colton). Mind you, I've always liked the Ricky Skaggs version equally as much as Albert's. Yorick - here's Skaggs' recorded version. Skaggs plays acoustic guitar. Might help -- or not! Either way, this is smokin'! Quote
