essexbasscat Posted December 4, 2009 Posted December 4, 2009 Just recently joined and love what you've done to the place, so HI to one and all. Just want to say thanks to everyone that has taken the time to post a review, give their thoughts on stuff and generally do things for the welfare of the bass community in general. Together, you have all created a pearl of great price. I've been playing bass since the 70's and never before come across a medium that allows bassists to respond to each other in 'real time'. At last, a place where I feel at home. hope to drop back in soon Cheers ! Quote

Ray Posted December 4, 2009 Posted December 4, 2009 (edited) Hi! Picture - Go to 'My Controls' > 'Edit Avatar Settings'. From here you can upload a picture from your computer. Quote - Go to 'My Controls' > 'Edit Profile Information'. 'Custom member title' is at the top. Note: you can only edit this after a certain number of posts (about 250 I think??) An avatar is the previously mentioned picture you can upload. There is a sub-forum called 'site issues' where you can ask for help or raise any queries. Hope this helps. Welcome to the forum! essexbasscat Posted December 4, 2009 Author Posted December 4, 2009 sorry xverminate. tried to edit the last entry and crashed it. I was trying to add that I also had a Hohner Jack when they came out. Stunning pair of pickups when active, none too shabby passively either. Also nice and light. cheers Quote
Sharkfinger Posted December 8, 2009 Posted December 8, 2009 Howdy. Don't live in Essex but seem to spend most of my weekends there gigging. Welcome to basschat. We're generally friendly, except for the belligerent old fogeys! Of which I am one on occasion Quote
essexbasscat Posted December 10, 2009 Author Posted December 10, 2009 Hi sharkfinger and thanks. Good 'ere innit I live on the Essex / London borders, so chances are we've gigged in each others back yards. I also have a touch of the Victor Meldrews on occasion ! (especially when I'm trying to get through London traffic - aaaarrrrggghhhhh!!!) Quote
BassJase Posted December 10, 2009 Posted December 10, 2009 Howdy old fruit, I've probably gigged all around your neighborhood my man! Welcome to the place and have a good 'un, there's loads of clever folks on here who know everything about bassy-ness... Quote
