KiOgon
For sale or trade, my (now 3 month old) Traben Neo Limited 4 string in Spalted Burst Maple with Black Hardware. Traben:- http://www.trabenbass.com/neo_limited.php Everyone who sees this bass says how good it is, but nobody wants to but it It's just sitting here not getting used, someone must have a sense of adventure? This Neo is better than you'll find one in the shops I'll guarantee! This has had many hours spent on it - setting it up right, not playing it! Controls:- http://www.trabenbass.com/controls.php To start with the volume etc knobs weren't fitted right & the volume & blend pots were fitted in the wrong place. So now the pots are right & the knobs too. The fret board was covered in some sort of blue dye or similar. After hours of scrubbing with Lemon oil, 'tis now a decent bit of rosewood, the frets are fine & the neck is straight, fast & sweet. Intonation is now spot on & the action set low with no buzzing. The electronic are great, Trabens pups & eq give an excellent tonal range, + Traben's most boasted point - the sustain! Put it on the stand & go make a cup of tea, the note's still there!!!! It has a new set on Rotosound Nexus NXE 45-105 strings fitted, (my favourite strings at the moment) if you haven't tried them & you like black then I'd recommend these. The original strings, removed & cleaned after a few days are included. I think they're Ernie Balls, anyway they're as good as new. No marks or damage at all to the woodwork or any parts except 1 tiny mark on the bridge plate near the pup, (hardly noticeable but has to be mentioned). The Neo is 1200 mm long, so I got a Fender style Tweed 'long' case to house it, brand new - has a tiny cut out of the piping (manufacturing defect) but otherwise perfect. REDUCED - NOW £250 or offer? with case, (see above for trades), will courier at cost (buyer to pay) or if you're 'down South' you're welcome to come try before you buy & have a cuppa. Please email if you'd like more pictures or have any questions. Cheers, John Edited December 29, 2009 by KiOgon

Speaking of sounds - went to GAK today & true - the Traben sounded raunchier than the aerodyne jazz I was comparing! It is very 'rockier' just not for me
