Matte_black
I've owned a Hiwatt Bass 100, a Marshall VBA400, an Ampeg SVT2 (non Pro) and a Trace VA350. I think the SVT was the best sounding of the lot but wasn't very loud. Did you have a chance to compare the GT200 to one of these? I'm not
petergales
I've had an SVT2PRO and the GT200 is way better. Much simpler and a far superior tone. Beautiful warm tones. The Matamp is much lighter, too. I found the SVT to be somewhat unreliable but I'm not expecting reliability issues with the Matamp.
Billy Apple
My Matamp bass d.i./preamp is for sale. pm me if you are interested. tayste_2000
He wants a big ass cab I've been thinking about getting Matamp to make me a combo, discussed it the other day, they are willing but they won't put any tubes in it. Torn because there is a very cheap Walkabout combo on ebay that would be awesome for my needs but would much rather stay with Matamp, always met my needs better than the Mesa stuff I had in the past. Who knows, going to go down next weekend and try their 1x12 cab.
quimbymeat
Yeah billy i don't have a bass cabinet at the moment so i want to get a Matamp

Mr. Foxen
preamp is now on ebay
Probably should sort your keywords there. DI pre amp amplifier preamplifier direct input injection interface, however much of that will fit, spaces instead of slashes because those make searching bad. DB13
Alright guys, just joined up to the forum - thought I'd smash a picture up of this beauty. The GT200 is defiantly the one, just looking for a 1x15 to go with it now. Tonesville. . ...Excuse the mess haha.
tayste_2000
Picked up two new babies at the weekend, I'm now the proud owner of Quimby's Meat DI and a Bass Modified Minimat Pro for use at home. Not taking any pictures at the moment as I'm getting the headcases changed on both and a new faceplate for the Meat preamp. But yes I have a beautiful 4w amp running into my matamp 4x6 cab at home and it's such a beautiful sound so rich and full but capable of crazy gain noises all without annoying the neighbours. Pics in the next few weeks, hell might even go down next weekend to get it done
tayste_2000
Ah sod it, Red headcase will be changed for black in the next few weeks and the cab will get a dusting, it is used a lot, it's just not moved a lot

tayste_2000
Cheers dude, I've got insurance in place, obviously the Bass 200 is pretty irreplaceable but they also don't make the 2 band one so if anyone wants to sell one let me know as I'd be interested to get it and then modify it to my old specs. quimbymeat
I am sure the factory could make you a one off gt200 mk1 at your spec like the last one but lets all keep an eye out and hunt them down
