I have 2 actually a PA100mk1 and mk2, great amps actually one of my fav bass sounds is one of them and my 4x10, however I do like to run it full whack into an 8x10 not even remotely clean when doing that but sounds awesome.

I lent Monz one of them while he got his GT200 built.

Defo worth the expense of getting one up and running.

Since someone else posted it

No idea who this is but this is how the logo on my Matamp GT200 will look when I can afford it.

That is a stunning colour.

I HIGHLY recommend a flight case for it. Probably be £150 but money well spent.

Is it built to have a really dirty tone?!

Yeah, I want a flight case for it. It's on the list of things to buy, but there are other pressing issues. I have a head cover I bought from Matamp while I was there which is okay for now though. Intend to leave it on as much as possible - want to keep it bright white ^_^

It isn't necessarily built specifically to have a dirty tone, but when you get the lowest gain setting to sound dirty just by turning the master volume up about half way, then you know the thing is going to be filth central.

Weird though - I had the volume really low at a gig the other day in a pub with no PA support and it was plenty loud enough (had to turn down so we didn't trip the noise limit machine box thing). But plugging away in my practice room today, it seemed a lot quieter.

It's a hard to beast to control though - I'd love it if the drive you get didn't overdrive the low end quite as much too. And when it's cranked, you can really see the speakers in my Schroeder working VERY hard for it D:

There's a Matamp GT1 creeping into the bottom corner of that last photo too :)

That looks wicked Finbar. Sure to turn a few heads. I'd love to hear any of these in this thread.
We need a matamp fest 2-3 matamp heads into as many cabs as we can chain together :)

2x12 is coming to the studio with me this weekend
I was thinking about this again the other day. Maybe an Orange/Matamp fest as I'd like to hear the difference between the two heads.

A battle of the valves eh?

Actually I would also like to hear a few different ones although I can't see me ever having the money to buy another lol

What do ya reckon Tayste? a "Valve off" round at your studios :)

Just thought I'd add that. We were running bass through both of them (not at the same time) last night just to see what it sounded like. Edited by Finbar
