Hey all,
I recently got myself a P bass and the 2 pole pieces at the G are raised.I think they're Fender Alnico items.
Is this normal or can I get them level with the others.
Ps,there's no allen key hex in the top of the poles.
Thanks in advance.

Erm, I think your pickups are in backwards. It's usually the A that has the raised pole piece...

I think you may be right,
would a picture help to confirm ??

It's just the two pieces that are proud, the other six are flush with the cover, thanks tho' :)

+1 on swapping the halves over, the raised poles should be under the A string. See this Seymour Duncan pickup for reference:

I've got a couple of recent MIA Fenders and the pole pieces are all level. Even on the replacement pickups they sell. Never seen anything like yours apart from on a Darkstar pickup or a Strat!
