lapolpora
It doesn't happen often that I GAS for a bass and end up owning it so I thought I'd have a post all to my own Remember my Sandberg PM4?: http://basschat.co.uk/index.php?showtopic=68479&st=0 Sold to TommyK and a top bloke he is too. So I'm going shopping tomorrow to buy the bass I turned my back on Sandie for. I wont tell you what it is yet - I don't want to hex the deal. But it's a classic, vintage (about 25 years old) and a stunner. Actually many might think it's ugly as sin but it will still turn heads. It will be a long trip to a far away land to pick up this little lady so won't be able to post back until tomorrow evening. More later....... It has got the sound to die for. It's amazing. Impossible to make it sound bad. Every micro turn of the tone knob does something incredible. The neck is fast, narrow and so comfortable in my hand. I can even get my thumb over the top for the E string - all the way up to the 22nd fret! Can't stop grinning when I play it. It's so much more than what I expected or remembered from the first time I owned one in the 80s when I was young and dumb. Even my wife who is normally "why do you need another bass?" gets it and is wowed by it. My six year old son loves it. He has claimed it as his own and wants me to teach him.
