danny-79 Posted December 9, 2009 Posted December 9, 2009 Same style thred as ive just put up but about octave deviders this time. As before i picked this up on fleebay pretty cheep , im happy with it in every sence but my findings are that its very limited (theres only a couple of setting on it that i find work nicely i.e theres a very fine line between getting a nice sound out of it an mushy noise??) so again ... same question... who uses what much thanx again Dan.. Gareth Hughes Posted December 9, 2009 Posted December 9, 2009 I'm using the old faithful Boss OC-2. It's usable but not without it's quirks. Aside from the obvious wiggle on forced notes, it's got a distorted synth sound that you either love or hate. It certainly doesn't sound like the note you play only an octave lower, but still - it has it's charm. Quote
thisnameistaken Posted December 9, 2009 Posted December 9, 2009 Yeah I'm using an OC-2 too. It does one sound, fortunately I really like that one sound. Quote
Protium Posted December 9, 2009 Posted December 9, 2009 I have an OC-2 and that style Octave Multiplexer. Both are very different even though they're meant to do the same thing Quote
danny-79 Posted December 9, 2009 Author Posted December 9, 2009 (edited) Thanx to everybody for replys, was just looking at the "E.B.S, octabass" (the later version) anybody had any dealings with one of theses? ta. Edited December 9, 2009 by danny-79 Quote
Doddy Posted December 9, 2009 Posted December 9, 2009 I use one of the early EBS Octabass pedals and think it's really cool. Used it for years and not had any problems with it-and I like the sound. Quote
dudewheresmybass Posted December 9, 2009 Posted December 9, 2009 I'm using an old DOD octoplus - which i absolutely adore! , although i've had experience of the OC2, MXR BOD, MXR bass octave and, Digitech BSW. I'm liking the sound of the BOD, and keen to hear samples of the aguilar octamizer. Quote
bottomfeed Posted December 10, 2009 Posted December 10, 2009 I use the EBS Octabass, I think it's the modern one.. (with the three way switch Lo, Mid, Hi settings....) excellent pedal! really delivers.... & stays stable even on lower notes.... Quote
NoirBass Posted December 10, 2009 Posted December 10, 2009 +1 for the EBS, This is the one that always comes out with me. great tracking and warm tone, in a bomb proof box. I also use a Micro POG, This is a digital octaver therefore the tracking is perfect even on a low E. Not as warm as the EBS though. I tend to use the POG for the octave up and the EBS for Octave down. Quote

ahpook Posted December 10, 2009 Posted December 10, 2009 i use a pearl oc-07 octaver (1 or 2 down and one kind of octave up fuzz) tracks down to C...i like it - i use it with the techno band i play with - it's great for the breakdowns and drops. Quote
