We're gonna do a couple more gigs before moving on to something else.... Got to meet the entire band afterwards...they just hung around! I was at that gig - won tickets on the day & just turned up on my own - definitely one of my funkiest nights of the years. Skeet rules! Just found this nice little analysis of how to play it as well: There's some great playing on the first album & the bass is just so well produced on some of the songs. This is an 'extra' that didn't even make it on the original release! I'm assuming it's Larry G on bass but Doug Rauch is also credited on the extended album. I'm guessing most of the really funky stuff on that album must be Larry Graham. Doug Rauch was Sanatana's bass man but I've never thought of him as a slapper.
