Haha, got in too late to put my own 2p-worth in but thought I'd just say the B.C. album is in my own vinyl collection too and is one of my faves by Mr B Cobham Esq. (Aside from the obligatory 'Spectrum', that is. :) ).

Another is this. Some real 'jazz-funk' from 1974 from the album 'Crosswinds'. Could almost be a theme from a cop show! :)

Hi Mark,

The album is called 'Streamline'. Bassist is Marcus Miller (who was only 19 at the time!).

Another fave from the album is this brilliant cover of Lady Madonna with Chaka Khan on vocals.

I have this album - great stuff.
Posted " Lady Madonna " a couple times on BC.
Twelve bars from Mars is stonkin', and some groovy fretless from Marcus on " I'll see you soon "
Shame the green like arrow has disappeared up its own warehouse for poop
Although i voted to get rid of it.. :)

Hell's teeth didn't realise that the bass on this was played by TM Stevens.

[/quote]i really do think that these times now,, are the most prolific best funky times that Prince has ever had.. .. ive heard stuff that blows my socks off off..
