stacedabass
hey i am looking into buying a delay pedal, i dont want anything too fancy, just a simple analog style pedal. I have been interested in the ibanez ad9 and was wondering if any of u guys have had any experience with them, or if you could recommend anything else. Price range i am willing to spend is under 100 squid. Cheers Nick
cheddatom
Are you sure you want an analog delay and not digital? I know it may sound stupid, but there's a bigger difference than some people realise. As far as analog delays go, AD9 is ok.
stacedabass
yea i am just looking for a smooth, simple delay, i dont need too much delay time.
Toasted
How much do you really need? I like upto 500ms, and don't think it's too much. Not many analogue delays do that. For £100 I'd hang out on ebay and get a dd-20, for £150 I'd get a TCE Nova Delay
cheddatom
Heh, Toasted recommending the computer pedals there! Do you know how much delay time you need? Most analog delays are more of a chorus effect, or a subtle echo. If you want a nice digital pedal with loads of variety, including an analog sound, try the marshall echohead. If you can get a DD-20 for £100, go for it!

I also know that not many people are willing to join waiting lists, and pay big money for a 500ms analog delay w/o tap tempo.
cheddatom
Can you get an analog delay with tap tempo? Weird. I have an analog delay, but I just use it to generate a horrible noise. They're quite good at that.
Toasted
Noise is good
