Corrr there isn't much that interests me bass-wise these days, but [i]that[/i] is a different animal entirely. Shame he won't ship outside the US-seems pretty adamant about it too.

If it's any consolation I've lost many a beautiful deal to lazy bastard UK eBayers who won't ship [i]at all [/i]because it's too much of a big deal for them to make their way to the post office.

I mean, if he is shipping in the US then he'll have to package it well to withstand possibly a good 1000 miles + in the back of various delivery trucks. So what's the deal with packing it to go on a plane? He'll have collected by a courier to take to the airport anyway. Pfffft

Hey!! Thanks for the mail forwarding sites, I had totally forgotten about these, this opens things up a bit!

Anybody have any good or bad experiences to report on using these sort of facilities?

Also,ive never presonally used a company like the one mentioned, but ive never really heard anything bad about them, and when i have its normally the actual postal sevice bringing it over who is to blame, But im sure youll get it one piece!

Well, I did bid for it, but it went beyond my budget. For once I was very strict on my limit, having to factor in shipping, VAT and duty. The price it went for would have pushed me too far. I am gutted though, this is going to me my jinxed target for a many years I think.

Missed two now.. lets hope it's third time lucky!! Also know I am aware of the forward shipping companies, that does open up my market further.

And thanks to all the help and kind offers too. This forum does reafirm that bassists really are the best and nicest bunch of musos around .

Excuse me now, I'm just shuffling of to a dark corner for a quiet sob....
