orangepeelneil
I've always Loved this bassline http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=cS7dTuPN1s8&feature=fvw Don't know the full history, is this some kind of reworking - I'm sure Tony Levin didn't play on the original? I may be wrong? Top tune and bassist though........
garethox
Tony Levin did play on Double Fantasy..... to quote Lennon '...and Tony Levin, great bass player... I never even knew he existed!'
lonestar
Tony Levin+Cheap Trick+ Lennon Great stuff! thanks for sharing this with us. I knew that Tony Levin played on Double fantasy but this is quite a revelation to me
garethox
That quote is taken from the last interview John did. It was with Andy Peebles for the BBC on Dec 6th 1980; it is available to buy and I'd urge everyone to listen to it if they can. Lennon is so full of life, enthusiasm for the future and general good humour it's heartbreaking to listen to.... damn Chapman to the bowels of hell. RhysP
Rick Neilson also played on Double Fantasy, along with Tony Levin. Cheap trick sometimes play a version of "I'm losing you" in their live set - there's a great version of it on the "Silver" double live CD. blue
Cheap Trick, There our local Midwest heroes. I see those guys all the time. Last time I saw Rick I was standing next to him at a Jeff Beck concert. In a nut shell Rick is just one of those guys that "gets it". Weren't their some legal hassles that resulted from their association with material that involved John? Blue
