Vintage EST96

Hi

I'm quite interested in picking one of these up and have heard that they are pretty good quality. How does the sound compare to that of a real stingray? Has anyone had any experience with these Vintage basses?

I have one - the active version. Needed a setup but its good to play.
Sounds good and eq very flexible. Recommended

Thanks for the advice. By chance went into local music shop with my wife and a friend and ended u coming home with the real thing. Once I played it I couldn't imagine playing anything else. Mind you, my wife wasn't quite as ecstatic as I was.

Will post pics as soon as I get my camera back from work tomorrow. I got the red one with a maple neck and 3 band EQ. Even though I have quite short fingers and small hands i find the neck amazingly easy to use.

I've got one with a maple neck. It sounds like a Stingray, but just how close it is to the real thing, I've no idea, as I've never played a 'real' one. I've also got a Nordsrand (or something) replacement pickup in it.

Did you compare the two in the shop?
