Ah, Japan.

And in my experience, Paul, Japan is by a long way the most materialistic country I've been to. Stuff = good.

I'm guessing that the photo was taken in about 1972.

He's now a bald, middle-aged man wondering what happened.

He had one of the first 5 electric basses ever made!

The '58 precision is the 'one' if gen , the rest I don't care much for as they're generally obtainable.
