bassmansky Posted December 14, 2009 Posted December 14, 2009 Anyone changed the original pups on the cv 60's p-bass to somethin more growly?want mine to sound a bit more aggressive as its a bit lifeless and quieter than my vintage bass.Wizard thumper maybe or seymour duncan?Or can i get away with some really good strings?think i have got ernie balls on at the moment.Dont want to not gig the bass as its great to play and fairly light.Ideas please. Cat Burrito Posted December 14, 2009 Posted December 14, 2009 Everyone here seems to rave about Wizard & if I'd have known earlier than I would have checked them out. Personally I swear by Seymour Duncan. I use the Antiquity range or SPB1s. If you want more growl I'd suggest an SPB3 from the Seymour Duncan range. Quote
