New Hi-Watt stomp boxes

Hiwatt, the Yorkshire-based amplifier maker, is launching its first ever foray into the tube pedal market with four valve-powered effects boxes: Valve Overdrive. Valve Distortion, Valve Tremolo and Valve Phaser.

Hiwatt's Mark Lodge said that the first shipment will be available to retailers in January, but that early samples have already been tried by some of Hiwatt's endorsees and that, "The response has been fantastic!".


The pedals (all featuring true by-pass and 12AX7 valves) come with the required 18V power supply included in the price and will sell for SRPs as follows. Valve Overdrive, - £119.96, Valve Distortion - £126.20, Valve Tremolo - £129.28, Valve Phaser - £124.04

Wow. Didn't expect the Phaser to be second cheapest!! Tube Phaser...sounds interesting!

I keep meaning to get a Theremin, a Moog delay and a Moog ring mod as my "I'm pissed and I want to amuse myself" rig. It would make my girlfriend fairly psychopathic I think but hey, what are effects for?
