paganskins
I've picked up a MUM active deluxe Jazz V secondhand and wanted to double check I understand the controls. As I understand it I've got: Vol Blend Stacked Bass and Treble (cut boost) Mid (cut boost) Is it just the tone controls which are active, ie with everything flat is the output comparable to a passive setup or is the volume control active too? Thanks
RussFM
That's right. Volume is just cut.

So is the general idea to balance boosting and cutting to get roughly the same overall level as flat or just season to taste and tweak the amp's gain to match?
