Guys,

I'm considering my comeback amp !!

I'm unlikely to gig again in the near future but want a good sounding/compact set-up for home practice / messing about !

My question to one and all is.......

What is the best sounding small compact Bass amp ?

I used to have a PJB Suitcase/4b set up which was excellent for home use, but did fart out a little to early !!

A pair of aggie 112's take some beating with a decent amp

I've hear great things about the bergantino IP cabs too..... I'd love opinions on the IP112

If a great tone is the main criteria in a compact set-up (money almost no objection) what is my best solution ?

I know i'll need to try myself...... but

All opinions welcome !

Thanks
Mark

I absolutely love my Ampeg B50R Rocketbass.

It's a bit OTT for a practice amp but it sounds great 50W into an Ampeg 'vintage' 12". And so pretty the woman of the house allows it to live in the living room. It's the only amp that's ever been allowed to do that. :)

Another Walkabout fan here. Fantastic for rock with the tube preamp and very compact. You also have the option of removing the head should you start gigging again and want to put it through, say, a separate 4x10 cab

You know what I like....... !!

DB750 into your Bergs !!!

OMG..... now THAT was a tone !!

Hmmm...... Walkabout ? That's a thought, never heard one but quite like the design concept
