They were absolutely fantastic last night in Manchester, great night, and with a rather fetching white MM SR5 and an Ashdown rig holding up the low end, brilliant.

I saw them at Madstock and was left unimpressed, I was gutted. The Pogues just blew them away...maybe it was just a bad night for them as everyone I've met who have seen them always say they are incredible.

Yeah, to be honest I'm not a massive fan myself, but the missus is. I wasn't expecting much, but I was loving it from start to finish, great show, banter, great sound, it was just brilliant. The crowd were up for it, and the band seemed to be enjoying it too. Very surprised, but totally converted.

So that's what all the traffic was coming through Salford - I would've loved to have seen them myself Russ. Much more enjoyable than what I was doing - playing to a load of solicitors.
