Stingray5 Posted December 17, 2009 Posted December 17, 2009 How cool is that! Maybe we should campaign to get this to the Xmas no. 1 spot and knock those other two contenders off their perches!!! Quote
OldGit Posted December 17, 2009 Posted December 17, 2009 Yup "Fan" is definitely short for "Fanatic" Quote
OutToPlayJazz Posted December 17, 2009 Posted December 17, 2009 If you look at Heather's other videos, they all build up to this one... I thought it was great of him to spend the time doing the track in his studio and making the video. As always, Mark's a great guy Quote

urb Posted December 17, 2009 Posted December 17, 2009 Nice - a liltte Christmas cheer for us all to enjoy - cheesy as hell but kind of sweet as well... Quote
Kiwi Posted December 17, 2009 Posted December 17, 2009 Ha ha, Marks voice sounds really good! He did well to hit those high notes. The Heathrow inspired fills and groove are nostalgic too. The video is obviously lip syncing but hell, who cares. Its the thought that counts. Merry Christmas Mark and Heather. Quote

Johngh Posted December 17, 2009 Posted December 17, 2009 That is superb, not many artists would have bothered. Heathers vids have been brilliant all along and this one is the icing on the cake. It goes to show that Mark and the band have watched them. Wonder where else he's been watching. Quote
wombatboter Posted December 18, 2009 Posted December 18, 2009 I also noticed that Mark's voice sounds great since he never has been a really great singer. It is a catchy tune and the bass sounds really nice. I loved the track. Thanks for posting ! Quote
purpleblob Posted December 18, 2009 Posted December 18, 2009 (edited) Brilliant stuff, watched some of the previous vid's., fantastic that Mark's joined in the fun EDIT: seems I had one too many previously's in that sentence - so remove one Edited December 18, 2009 by purpleblob Quote
ZMech Posted December 18, 2009 Posted December 18, 2009 I love that they accept it's lip syncing, especially how the slap carries on whilst he's holding up message at the end. Quote
Conan Posted December 18, 2009 Posted December 18, 2009 Love that!! Great stuff. As others have said, his voice is sounding better than ever. BTW, what is that bass he's thumbing? Looks like a Status - is it some kind of "signature" model? OK, off to listen to The Pursuit of Accidents now!! ^_^ Quote

But then I would say that, wouldn't I? Quote
crez5150 Posted December 18, 2009 Posted December 18, 2009 Hmmm Still prefer the shape of the MK1 Quote
kets Posted December 18, 2009 Posted December 18, 2009 It's not half bad that actually and Mark's voice has matured, he sounds really good, not as nasal as he used to be sometimes. Love the thumbed bassline, is this a first for christmas songs I wonder? How about Marcus Miller doing a thumbed version of The Waitresses "Christmas Wrapping"...? Quote
Captain Bassman Posted December 18, 2009 Posted December 18, 2009 That's not MK! It's that Robert Llewellyn chap off of that How's It Made show! Or Scrapheap Challenge (in days gone by)?... Quote

witterth Posted December 18, 2009 Posted December 18, 2009 (edited) That REALLY made me smile!! and I'm usually the worst kind of a Scrooge,as well....so.. Big thanks to the Guv'nor for the "cheer up" Happy Xmas Mark, and all you Basschatters! From chez Wittreth By The Way... Innit great that a successful artist STILL gives a toss? Edited December 18, 2009 by witterth Quote
Chris2112 Posted December 18, 2009 Posted December 18, 2009 At a time when we are surrounded by cheap, vacuous crap like Joe McElderry, it is great to see a star with some actual star quality. But then, Mark King comes from days when things were better... Quote
phsycoandy Posted December 18, 2009 Posted December 18, 2009 Fabulous, gr8 that Mark connects with us fans, Im booking for Ipswich Regent asap as usual, mosh pit at 51 c'mon boys. Quote
