MacDaddy
as the title says, did I miss a Bassbash? Was there a secret national Basschat bash that I didn't get an invite to?
Old Horse Murphy
Yeah it was great!! Can't believe that Marcus Miller, Pino Palladino AND John Myung all turned up. Never expected that.

Alpha-Dave
No, (un)fortunately you didn't. The excellent organiser of the last few declined to do the September one due to non-bass commitments, and BC mods volunteered to take it over with an eye I think to making it a bit more structured. Unfortunately it didn't get organised, possibly because the mods themselves went to the South East bash, so didn't see the need for another one. Kiwi
Macster, you haven't missed out. This is as far as discussions got: http://basschat.co.uk/index.php?showtopic=63&st=240 http://basschat.co.uk/index.php?showtopic=...amp;hl=bassbash As you can see from the links, what actually happened was that we discussed the possibility of having it sometime later as it was too close to the SE Bash, NOT because the Mods showed up. We also discussed having it in Oxford as its near where Ped lives and he was going to take over scouting for a location. No dates have been discussed yet but we are probably are overdue for one. It depends on the level of interest I guess, the September ones generally have been the less popular events.

I've been to 2 of them and had a great time. They were about a 150 mile round trip, but worth it. Oxford on the other had maybe too far for me. Machines
A show ? Kind of. We all meet up and bring our gear (amps and basses) and have a fumble with each others gear and have a good old chinwag. A great opportunity to try basses you don't see in shops !
