Apologies if anyone else has posted this earlier, but Coldplay are having a clear out for charity:

What are this band feeling so guilty about???? Chris martin seems obsessed with charitys,i know it sounds a bit off but i think this is a bit strange.

Or maybe they've got so much money they just want to help out some other people who need it more than them...or maybe it secures them a slot on the next live aid? :)

i guess if you grow up with your parents running your local church you get in the habit of being charitable, or/and tithing. I heard that 10% of everything they earn they give away.
surely you can't really knock that? It's better than the rock and roll spending your profits up your nose

What he said....

Although no fan of Coldplay I think it is a very noble gesture irrespective of what people may think the motives are.
We live in a greed ridden society with massive social injustice and it is good to see those who have, spreading the wealth about abit. City bankers would do well to take note.....I wonder how much of their wealth goes to charity ?
